Event in Detail
Following the success of her previous exhibition in 2025, Sicilian-British artist Francesca Arcidiaco returns to Pollença with A New Journey into Japanese Art, an exhibition presenting an entirely new body of artwork inspired by her recent return to Japan.
The exhibition is once again presented in partnership with Galeria Dionís Bennàssar and hosted at Espai C, the exhibition space of the Fundació Dionís Bennàssar, from 1 to 27 September 2026, bringing together classic and modern paintings created with traditional Japanese materials and techniques but with contemporary inspiration.
This new collection of artwork marks an important stage in the artist’s creative journey. Nature remains at the heart of her work. Francesca seeks to reveal the poetry of everyday life and our relationship with the living world. “I returned to Japan searching for inspiration. Instead, I rediscovered the emotional connection that first led me to Japanese art. Nature, silence and light reminded me of why I paint.”
