The Consell de Mallorca Comes to Town

The President of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, is currently touring all the island’s municipalities to get a first-hand look at the local issues and this week it was Pollensa’s turn.

During the day, President Galmés officially announced that Pollença will receive €1.21m over 2024 and 2025 from the Consell de Mallorca. Specifically: €520,000 from the Works and Services Plan and €106,400 from the biennial Action Plan for Sustainable Energy and Climate (PAESC), and €583,612.48 from the Water Cycle Agreement for 2024.

Accompanied by the island councillor for Economic Promotion and Local Development, Pilar Amate, the president held a meeting with the mayor of Pollença, Martí March, and other representatives of the council. Amate pointed out that this year the POS budget has been doubled to allow for large-scale investments that until now had not been possible due to lack of funding.

Visit to the Rotger Villalonga Foundation

Early in the morning, the president of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, visited the facilities of the Rotger Villalonga Foundation accompanied by the island director of the Serra de Tramuntana, Antoni Solivellas. The Rotger Villalonga Foundation, created in 1979 and located on the Cala Murta estate in Formentor, has as its priority objective the study and dissemination of knowledge of the memory and work of Miquel Costa i Llobera and promotes cultural activities related to his person and work.
