The Alcúdia Town Council has inaugurated the new cultural space at the Bastion of Sant Ferran, with the presence of the mayor, Fina Linares, and the Councillor for Culture and Festivities, Àngela Amer.
The launch of this space marks a new chapter for the bastion, which regains prominence as a stage for the town’s cultural life and creativity. The initiative is a response to the desire to continue creating spaces open to participation, local talent and new generations.
During her speech, the Councillor for Culture highlighted that this opening ‘is not just a transformation of a space, but a declaration of intent’. She has defended a vibrant, creative and courageous Alcúdia, and has stressed that investing in culture is investing in people: in artists, in local organisations, and in the children and young people who can discover their calling there.
For her part, the mayor has thanked the public for their attendance and expressed the hope that culture will continue to be an active part of the town’s day-to-day life.
The opening was held as a vermouth event and featured a performance by the group Suasi, who musically inaugurated this new stage.
With this opening, the Bastion of Sant Ferran is fully incorporated into Alcúdia’s cultural programme as a space for sharing, creating and community building.
