Can Picafort is a coastal town and popular beach resort on the northeast coast of Mallorca in the Bay of Alcúdia, part of the Santa Margalida municipality. Es Comu
The stunning unspoiled beach at Es Comu is a gorgeous expanse of white sand backed by dunes and wild “forest” however offers no tourist facilities . A short hop from Can Picafort itself, visitors must park in the designated zones (beach sector 3) and then walk to the beach using authorized paths. This is truly one of the most beautiful and unspoiled beaches in Mallorca and is well worth a visit.S’Albufera nature parc
The largest and most important wetland on the island, covering around 1,600–1,700 hectares of marshes, lagoons and reedbeds on the northern coast between Alcúdia and Can Picafort. Originally a lagoon separated from the sea by dunes, it’s now a protected natural park, with over 300 species recorded, with over 300 species recorded. The park is also part of the European Natura 2000 network and offers a network of walking and cycling trails, bird hides and observation platforms for low-impact wildlife viewing. Access is on foot or by bicycle, with no motor vehicles allowed inside.

Can picafort is host to the annual Saladina Art Fest (usually in early October)

In addition to national and religious holidays the town of Can Picafort celebrates a number of annual fiestas including San Antoni Fiesta of Sant Antoni Abat, the patron saint of animals. This fiesta involves the lighting of bonfires in the streets on the 16th followed by a colourful parade and the blessing of animals on the following day in front of the local parish Church. As well as Fiesta of the Mare de Deu del Carme in nearby Son Serra de Marina. Along with the usual selection of parades and musical events, this Fiesta also includes a maritime procession in honour of the Patron Saint of seafarers and fishermen.
The dining scene in Ca’n Picafort is varied and generally casual. There’s a good selection of family-friendly restaurants plus some chic, more upmarket spots on the beach and the seafront.

The weekly Can Picafort Market is held on Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Isaac Peral Street and on a stretch of the promenade in the Son Bauló area.
The area is home to one local artisan product that may surprise you. On the road between Santa Margalida and Arta you can find the Aloe Vera Farm Mallorca; from this organic plantation the owners produce a range of Aloe Vera based cosmetics, food supplements, balms and even juice. To get to Can Picafort, you can fly into Palma Mallorca Airport (PMI) and then take a bus, taxi, or shuttle, or rent a car. The drive is approximately 60 km (about an hour), but bus and shuttle services are readily available, and a direct bus from the airport takes around 2 hours. Alternatively you can catch a ferry to Alcudia from other Balearic Islands, Barcelona or Toulon in France, and then take a bus, taxi or hire a car.
