Cancer Support Mallorca has announced the opening of a new drop-in centre at Inca Hospital. The new facility is due to open ginning Tuesday, May 6th and will be open every Tuesday morning, providing vital support to cancer patients and their carers in the north of the island.
This new initiative means that Cancer Support Mallorca now has a regular presence in all of Mallorca’s public hospitals – a long-term goal that has finally been realised.
The drop-in centre will be located in the Hospital de Dia, placing volunteers in direct contact with patients undergoing cancer treatment. Volunteers will offer practical information, emotional support, and a range of cancer care materials. The primary focus will be on assisting foreign patients, helping them understand the support available and how to access it.
In addition to welcoming walk-ins, patients and carers are encouraged to book appointments in advance if they would prefer a dedicated time to speak with a volunteer.
“We’re thrilled to finally establish a permanent presence at Inca Hospital,” said a spokesperson for Cancer Support Mallorca. “This location is particularly important as it allows us to better support the northern region of the island, where many patients often struggle to access resources in their own language.”

The charity is also issuing a call for volunteers from the north of the island to join the team in Inca. “We’re looking for a few compassionate individuals who can offer just one Tuesday morning per month. It’s a small time commitment that can make a big difference.”
Cancer Support Mallorca provides free services to cancer patients and their families, including translation support, transport, nutritional guidance, counselling, and more.
