Palma Aquarium will hold a charity event to raise funds for the conservation and environmental education projects of the Palma Aquarium Foundation in celebration of Balearic Islands Day.
From February 28 to March 2, all visitors will be able to take part in this unique experience. In addition, residents will benefit from a reduced ticket price of €12.
The charity celebration for Balearic Islands Day aims to raise funds for the Palma Aquarium Foundation, which works to protect and restore marine species.
Residents and visitors will be able to enjoy a special program featuring educational and awareness activities. From February 28 to March 2, all visitors will have access to this unique experience, and residents will enjoy a reduced ticket price of €12, with €2 from each ticket going directly toward marine conservation. With this initiative, Palma Aquarium reaffirms its commitment to environmental education and the preservation of the Balearic Sea.
This charitable celebration will include interactive and educational experiences about marine protection for all ages. Visitors will be able to learn more about seahorses and sharks in the Experience Labs, create their own seahorse using recycled materials in the RecyclART workshop, and discover the Palma Aquarium Foundation’s conservation projects through mini-games.
Guests will also be able to watch shark and ray feedings and participate in activities such as Play & Learn: The Seahorse Challenge, the “Volunteer for a Day” Gymkhana — where participants must complete three missions to learn how to protect the sea — and the Marine Champions game, where they will discover which animals hold world ocean records.
At Palma Aquarium, we believe that the Mediterranean Sea is part of our identity, and protecting it is everyone’s responsibility. Our goal is for every visitor to understand the importance of caring for our sea and to become an ambassador for its conservation.
Continuing with “Som de la Mar” (“We Are of the Sea”), the initiative designed to strengthen the local community’s connection with the Balearic Sea through events and experiences both inside and outside Palma Aquarium, we aim to inspire the community to discover the sea, love it, and protect it.
The special Balearic Islands Day program represents another step in our ongoing commitment to the conservation of the Balearic Sea. Palma Aquarium invites residents and visitors to actively take part in this movement of awareness and action. Residents can participate in this unique experience for the reduced price of €12.
