The Free Cinema on the Beach returns to Tamarells beach (Avinguda Paris) with two nights of free cinema by the sea. The cycle will project two internationally recognized feature films, preceded by Balearic short films. The first screening will be on June 26th, at 9:30 pm, with the film Flow and the short film Arca, by Antonina Obrador.
Flow (Latvia, 2024), is a film directed by Gints Zilbalodis, without dialogue, suitable for all audiences and especially recommended for children. Among his awards, he has received the Oscar for Best Animated Film and the Golden Globe for Best Animation Film.
A cat wakes up in a world covered in water, where the human race seems to have disappeared. Seeking refuge on a boat with a group of other animals. But getting along with them turns out to be an even bigger challenge than overcoming their fear of water. Everyone will have to learn to overcome their differences and adapt to this new world they are in.
About the documentary “Arc”, the Earth is an inhabitable planet, and the Ark ship is the only place where human life is left in the universe. The young Valentina, raised on board the Ark since infancy, is destined to be fertilized as part of the efforts to guarantee the survival of the human species. Valentina will desperately search for answers and a way to escape her destiny.
