San Antoni - Muro

A deeply-rooted traditional celebration of Sant Antoni Abat featuring fire, music, folklore, bonfires, correfocs (fire runs), blessings and community gatherings — one of the most important festivals in the region.

Schedule for the event:
Friday 16 January – Opening & Revetla de Sant Antoni
17:30 – Official opening of the Fireta de Sant Antoni, with market stalls, exhibitions, local artisan stands and family-friendly activities throughout the town.
As the evening unfolds, enjoy live music, children’s activity areas, traditional Mallorcan dances, and guided heritage tours. The inauguration concludes with the moving recital of the Himne del Tio Pep, Muro’s much-loved local anthem.

Saturday 17 January – Peak Celebration Day
Festivities continue throughout the day with cultural activities and festive stalls filling the main squares. As night falls, the streets come alive with the Ronda dels Dimonis (devils’ procession), dramatic correfocs, glowing foguerons (bonfires), and lively torrades (street barbecues), creating a powerful mix of fire, music and tradition. The day also includes the Beneïdes (Blessing of Animals), where local livestock, pets and their owners take part in this important Sant Antoni ritual.

Sunday 18 January – Closing Day
The Fireta concludes with final exhibitions, relaxed community gatherings and closing activities, typically finishing by early evening.
