Fire in Puerto Pollensa

Several cars that were parked in C/Metge Llopis in Puerto Pollensa, near the Municipal Building, caught fire. Although there was damage to the cars and nearby building, no one was hurt. 

Eyewitnesses told local press that the fire started when a vehicle that was trying to park caught fire, the cause of which is unknown.

The two vehicles that were on either side also caught light and the flames affected a commercial premises, the façade of the building and other cars.

The fire occurred at around 8pm on Saturday 18th. Civil Protection volunteers were on the scene and the Local Police and Fire Brigade arrived shortly followed. By which time, it’s understood the fire was already out. 

The investigation is still open.
