The Mare de Déu del Carme Festivities return to Port de Pollença from 10 to 19 July 2026, bringing ten days of music, traditional celebrations, sport, family activities and community events to locations across the town.
The celebrations of the Mare de Déu del Carme have a particularly strong connection with coastal communities. The Virgin of Carmen is traditionally associated with sailors and fishermen, making the festival an important date in the calendar of Port de Pollença and other maritime towns across Mallorca and Spain.
While the programme has grown to include concerts, parties, sport and activities for all ages, the traditional maritime procession remains at the heart of the celebrations. The festival will once again conclude with a spectacular final evening of tradition, fire and fireworks.

Friday 10 July
The festivities officially begin on Friday evening with the opening of the Between Generations exhibition at the Port de Pollença Neighbourhood Association Hall.
At 9:00pm, Diana Borràs Rhodes will deliver the festival’s opening speech at the Parish Church of Mare de Déu del Carme. This will be followed by a performance from the Pollença Choir and the traditional serving of almond granissat.
Saturday 11 July
Saturday is one of the busiest days of the opening weekend.
The 12th La Marinera Popular Race begins at 9:00pm on Passeig de Saralegui, taking runners around a 7km course.
Later that evening, the Maritime Party takes over Miquel Capllonch Square. La Movida Band and Fandango All Stars will perform live before DJ Marina Garcia continues the party into the night.
Sunday 12 July
Sunday evening celebrates traditional Mallorcan music and dance.
Aires de la Cala will perform in Miquel Capllonch Square from 8:30pm, followed by a popular dance with Ballugall.
Monday 13 July
Monday begins with an afternoon of water games at the Port de Pollença Municipal Swimming Pool from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
In the evening, Miquel Capllonch Square will host Jazz Night from 9:30pm, featuring live performances from the Mario Ramírez Quartet and Toni Frontera Quartet.
Tuesday 14 July
Tuesday’s programme focuses on children and young people.
A Children’s Water Gymkhana will take place at the Royal Yacht Club from 6:00pm, with water activities, a soap slide, balance challenges and ice cream for participants.
From 8:00pm, Miquel Capllonch Square will host the Youth Party 0/0 for young people aged 12 and over, with alcohol free cocktails, food trucks and music from DJs Mesclat.
Wednesday 15 July
Wednesday brings an evening of family entertainment to Miquel Capllonch Square.
The Children’s Just Dance Party starts at 7:00pm, followed by an open air screening of Paddington at 9:30pm.
Thursday 16 July
Families can head to Llenaire Beach from 5:30pm for an afternoon of circus skills, balance games and environmental activities focused on the Bay of Pollença.
The evening programme moves to Miquel Capllonch Square for a charity fideuà dinner in aid of ABAIMAR at 9:00pm. Entertainment will be provided by Xeramiers Orats, followed by ballroom dancing with the Galatzó Orchestra from 10:00pm.
Friday 17 July
On Friday afternoon, attention turns towards one of Pollença’s biggest annual celebrations.
From 5:00pm to 10:00pm, elections will take place for the main roles in the 2026 Simulacre de Moros i Cristians. The event will be held on Pere Josep Cànaves Street in Pollença.
Saturday 18 July
Saturday begins with a Children’s Party organised by Uapidubi at 7:00pm in Miquel Capllonch Square.
Later, the celebrations move to La Gola Beach for one of the biggest parties of the festival. The La Gola Beach Party starts at 10:30pm, with music from Deejaysgrup and DJ Biel Castell.
Sunday 19 July
The final day brings together the most traditional and spectacular events of the festival.
A solemn mass will take place at 6:30pm at the Parish Church of Mare de Déu del Carme, featuring the Reminiscence Choir and the Cathedral Youth Choir of Reims, France.
The service will be followed by the traditional maritime procession, when the images of Sant Pere and Mare de Déu del Carme are carried through the port and taken out onto the water.
At 11:00pm, the Correfoc will begin in Miquel Capllonch Square. Ca de Bou and guest group Els Realment Cremats will be joined by the Batullença percussion band for a fiery route through the streets of Port de Pollença.
The 2026 festivities will come to an end at midnight with the traditional fireworks display at La Gola Beach.

Alongside the daily programme, several exhibitions will be open throughout the festivities, including photography, painting, crafts and children’s artwork.
The 13th Friendship Pádel Tournament will also take place from 13 to 18 July at DUVA Sports Centre, while the summer Night Market continues every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evening on the Anglada Camarasa Promenade.
