Originally a small fishing port serving the town of Alcudia, the old harbour is now home to an international ferry terminal and an upmarket marina. There is also a canal system which leads to large inland lakes surrounded by hotels, apartments and villas

To get to Alcudia town you can fly into Palma Mallorca Airport (PMI) and then take a bus, taxi, or shuttle, or rent a car. The drive is approximately 55 km (about 45 minutes) but bus and shuttle services are readily available, and a direct bus from the airport takes around 1 hour. Alternatively you can catch a ferry to Puerto Alcudia from other Balearic Islands, Barcelona or Toulon in France, and then take a bus, taxi or hire a car.
