Call for Children’s Parks in Alcudia
The socialists of Alcudia has called on the Council Of Alcudia to improve the children’s parks in the town and to introduce new children’s parks at the start of the beach of Alcudia and Bonaire.
In their motion they added that “it is necessary that the Council puts new spaces into operation to cover the growth of the population and to give the option to play in different spaces, they also stress that the constant maintenance of ‘these places’ is important.”
They recalled that “during previous legislative periods, new playgrounds were built in Alcanada and Barcarès, and others were also renovated, such as the one in Plaza Pere Adrover, in s’Hort de ses Barreras, Poblado Aurora Picornell, Hort des Fassers, in front of the Auditorium or Sa Pilota”.
Now they urge the government team to “get down to work, that the improvement and implementation of new recreational spaces be a priority, as well as the festivals. And, for that reason, they put a budget item in the 2025 Budget sufficient to carry out these actions”.
Which are Most Beautiful Towns in Spain?
Spain’s National Geographic’s Viaje magazine recently reported on the country’s prettiest towns. In the list of 100 Mallorca is always a feature. This year no less than four town made their appearance.
In at number 19, Pollensa was listed for its charm and prettiness and the article notes the Calvari Steps and the Puig de Maria. It also references Spanish artists who loved Pollensa.
Also on the list, were Valldemossa (26th) Deia (56th) and Fornalutx (58th).
Whos’ Lucky in Campanet?
The EuroMillions €1m prize has been drawn in Campanet. The draw, held on Tuesday, November 5, saw Tomeu Palou and Xisca Socias who run the loteria in the town spread fortune and excitement; “Giving out the EuroMillions Million is the best publicity we can have,” Palou told press. He also said that they don’t know who the lucky person is. It is not the first prize they give out but it is one of the most important. Congratulations to the winner!
