All Set for 2024 Pujada a Lluc – The Ascent to Lluc

The Consell of Mallorca held a presentation this morning for the 43rd edition of the Pujada a Lluc 2024, which will be held overnight from September 7-8 and will bring together more than 5,000 participants.
President of the Consell, Llorenç Galmés, counsellor of the Presidency, Antoni Fuster, counsellor of Territory, Mobility and Infrastructure, Fernando Rubio met with the members of the Association of The Antics Blavets de Lluc, organisers of the annual walk.
The climb, organised by the Antics Blavets Association, will start on the night of 7-8 September from 45 municipalities on the island and will bring together more than 5,000 walkers. President Galmés, will be making the trip, leaving from Cala Figuera, in Santanyí. He thanked the association for its work “which keeps the traditional walk alive and has already made it an emblem of our island.”
For this reason, he continued, “the association has the collaboration of the Consell so that, year after year, this activity, which has an incalculable value in our culture, becomes a reality.”
Indeed the support of the Consell de Mallorca for the Pujada a Lluc de la Part Forana has, amounts to €67,545.39, an increase of €12,000 from last year.
For his part, the President of the Antics Blavets Association, Llorenç Gelabert, thanked the Consell “which allows the Mallorcans to be able to take part in the different editions of the climb with great enthusiasm.”
Finally, President Galmés encouraged all Mallorcans to participate in this tradition “so deeply rooted in the towns of our island, where participants come together to do sports and enjoy our landscapes.” He has also invited the new generations “to continue with this tradition” and make it your own.”
