This Saturday afternoon, the streets of Alcúdia came alive with the first Soapbox Race, organised by the Alcúdia Youth Association with the support of the Town Council.
The initiative exceeded all expectations, with a large number of participants and spectators filling the route from Torrent de la Vall Street to Blava Street with colour, joy, and fun.

All the carts were made from recycled materials and powered solely by manual force, putting the creativity, ingenuity, and effort of the racers to the test.
The race was held in two categories: youth (12–16 years) and adult (16 years and over), and was enthusiastically followed by hundreds of local residents.

This event, coinciding with the magic of Carnival, turned Saturday evening into a celebration full of excitement, laughter, and spectacular visual moments, featuring all kinds of carts, bright colours, and shared energy.
The Alcúdia Youth Association is very pleased with the response from both the public and the racers, and already anticipates that this first edition opens the door to future editions with even greater participation and fun.
