More than 2,500 people came together on the Passeig de la Mare de Déu de la Victòria as Alcúdia’s Sant Jaume celebrations continued with one of the fiesta’s biggest community events.
The evening offered a varied programme of culture, music and entertainment, beginning with the presentation and reading of Ayúdame a llorar, the latest poetry collection by Idoia Fradejas.
As the celebrations gathered pace, the Festa Jove de Colors transformed the promenade into a sea of colour. Inspired by traditional Holi-style celebrations, the event brought together families and young people for an evening of music, colour powder and entertainment, with Paco Vera providing the animation alongside DJ Oriol and DJ Marc Ripoll.
One of the highlights of the evening was the popular open-air community dinner, where more than 2,500 people shared a meal under the summer sky. Tickets were priced at €5, with proceeds supporting two local organisations: the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) and the Colla de Geganters d’Alcúdia, combining celebration with a strong spirit of community and solidarity.
The evening concluded with a lively bingo, rounding off a night that showcased the welcoming atmosphere and community spirit that define Alcúdia’s Sant Jaume festivities.
With thousands of residents and visitors coming together to celebrate, the event once again demonstrated why the Festes de Sant Jaume remain one of the highlights of the summer calendar in northern Mallorca.
