The VI Alcudiamar Trophy – Projecte Home Balears consolidates Alcúdia as a reference for sustainable and supportive sailing.
The Badia d’Alcúdia has once again become this week’s cap on the scene of sports, solidarity and environmental awareness with the celebration of the VI Alcudiamar Trophy – Projecte Home Balears, a fully consolidated event in the nautical and social calendar of the municipality and the north of Mallorca.
Furthermore, the regatta has been part of the activities held in the Balearic Islands on the occasion of World Boating Day.
The regatta maintained its marked solidarity character, allocating the recapture to Projecte Jove of Projecte Home Balears, a program aimed at the prevention, treatment and accompaniment of young people and
families with addiction problems in the Balearic Islands.
The day also had an important family and outreach component, with activities for all the public, such as children’s and environmental workshops, paddle surfing, caiac and the possibility of following the regatta from the sea aboard a Transportes Marítimos Brisas boat.
With an outstanding participation, the Starsky & Hutch boat, from the Club Nàutic Can Picafort, has been proclaimed the absolute winner of this six-year edition. The podium was completed by Lir, from the CN Colònia de Sant Pere, and Marball, from the CN Ciutadella, in a competition marked by the high level of sport and the excellent environment among all the participating crews.
With this first edition, the Alcudiamar Trophy – Home Balears Project consolidates not only its relevance as a nautical competition, but also as an initiative capable of integrating social, sports and environmental values.
Alcúdia reaffirms així the seu positioning as a municipality of reference in projects linked to the sea from a responsible and future
perspective.
